Cutting and Trimming
Hamilton Lawn and Snow Care is happy to provide basic landscaping services to your home or business like cutting and trimming. Better than your average teenager with a mower, we provide the most comprehensive cutting and trimming service. We understand that there is an art to mowing, it is not just passing a mower over the grass and calling it good! When your lawn is in our hands you can rest assured that we will use the best techniques to make sure that your grass can continue to grow long and strong for a very long time. There are many reasons to take the extra time to mow, trim, edge and blow a lawn that are more than just for aesthetics. Let us show you how to keep your lawn as healthy as possible.
There are many different mowers and techniques of mowing that can be used to cut the grass. Push mowers are popular among homeowners because they are affordable, easy to store and simple to repair. Riding lawn mowers are also popular among homeowners, particularly those with very large lawns. Riding lawn mowers offer durability, longevity and ease to your average mow. There are also commercial grade lawn mowers that allow for a rider to have complete control over the movements of the machine. They are usually made to cover large swaths of grass but have a very tight turn radius in order to reach corners and harder to reach areas.
Trimmers are lawn tools that are used to cut grass in hard to reach areas such as planting beds. Sometimes there will be spots of grass that simply grow sideways and can’t be cut with a typical mower. Other times, there are just areas of the yard that are hard for the mower to get to such as in ravines, corners, or steeply graded areas. Trimmers allow people to cut that hard to reach grass so that it matches in length with the rest of the yard. It may not be obvious at the time while the grass is still short, but as the grass grows over time the difference in length will become more and more apparent.
Lawn edging is much like trimming in that the process requires a smaller lawn cutting tool that is made to reach areas that are difficult for mowers to get to. The main difference is that edging is used to create clean, crisp lines in landscaping, like between planting beds, along sidewalks or pathways, or around the edge of the lawn. Proper edging is one of the many ways a skilled landscaper can create a major difference in the level of curb appeal that your lawn has to offer.
Blowing is the finishing touch on a properly cut and trimmed lawn. This process simply uses a blower to blow the clipped grass and excess cuttings from pathways and edges to create a beautiful finished product.
